Down The Aisle

by Running On Empty Mommy on August 17, 2011

Natalie over at Mommy of a Monster and Twins is hosting a fabulous link-up this week over at her site titled Down the Aisle. She posted her favorite picture from her wedding and asked others to do the same. Well, I am a sucker for weddings and had to join in on this fun linkup!

So, we had two weddings. Yes, two. On April 30th, 2008 we were married in the town hall and that was officially when I became a Mrs. But, as a catholic girl with childhood dreams of walking down the aisle in my elegant princess dress, we also were married “in the eyes of god” on September 4, 2009. Although both days were special, our church wedding and full reception with 185 of our closest friends and family took the cake FOR SURE! Also, I had a fabulous photographer for our church wedding and reception. Allison from Lucidfoto had quite the task of wrangling my ten bridesmaids, two junior bridesmaids, and precious flower girl, along with my husband’s seven crazy groomsmen and our handsome son as the ring bearer.

The ladies flowed with grace…

But, we definitely knew how to party with the best of them…

We cannot forget our parents who joined in for a huddle at the alter…

I could sit here and post every picture from our wedding, as they all tell a story, but I have two absolute favorites I have to include.

The infamous photo…

My father's favorite photo from the wedding-Hubby swears it's because his head is cut off.

The image is my fave.. so in love!

Our wedding was a blast, and I will never forget how much fun I had with so many amazing people.

So, thank you Natalie for making me take a trip down memory lane.

P.S. He promised he wouldn’t smash the cake…

He lied...

Just a thought.

Head over and linkup!!

Lying is not nice! Looks like you had fun with it though :) I told my husband if he tried it he was dead. He listened well :) I love the flask photo, fun!

Oh, cake smashing without permission is such a no-no! Were you a good sport about it?

Gorgeous wedding!

Awesome pictures! It’s so much fun to take a walk down memory lane every once in a while. It reminds us where we once were and where we are now.

COngrats though I’m late in greetings. Getting married and having this nice wedding is everybody’s wants and bride’s wish. It was such a nice feeling walking down the aisle and seeing the man you love at the end of the aisle. Awesome experienced.
